John James Audubon :  Known as a dominant wildlife artist of early America, Audubon dedicated his life to documenting and painting the birds of the New World in their natural habitats. John Deere :  A blacksmith by trade, Deere was the mind behind the first commercially successful steel plow, which changed the face of agriculture and the American prairie. Laura Ingalls Wilder :  A beloved American author, Wilder’s life spanned the frontier era. Her stories capture the spirit of pioneer families as they settled the vast landscapes of the West.
