A Symphony of Systems

A STEAM-inspired unit focusing on the 5 major human body systems and comparing it to a symphony orchestra. In this unit, the nervous system, circulatory system, respiratory system, skeletal system, and digestive system are discussed. The conductor, as well as the percussion, woodwinds, strings, and brass sections of the orchestra is then studied and compared in order to deepen the understanding of systems working in unison towards one goal. Ages 5 -13
